What is Lotto Keeper?

Lotto Keeper is several applications in one.  It provides two levels of service, Lite and Basic.  The Lite service provides detailed results to the lotteries that you enable.  The Basic service adds a custom number generator, the ability to store all played and favorite numbers, and the ability to automatically check your played numbers against the lottery results to provide visual/audio/monetary indication of your winnings.

Is there a subscription required to use the service?

A subscription is not required to use any of the current features.  At a later date, when additional content such as local states is added, an In-App purchase may be required to add the additional state.

When/Where will Lotto Keeper be available?

Lotto Keeper (Lite/Basic) has been approved by Apple and is available at the US App Store.

How much does Lotto Keeper cost?

The Lite service is FREE.  The Basic service has a one-time cost of $4.99 (currently on sale for $0.99).

How do I buy Lotto Keeper Lite/Basic?

Go the Apple App Store and purchase the Lite or Basic version.

Is there a guarantee and what are the limitations?

What if I am simply not happy with the service?

We only want you to pay for something you find useful.  Within 30 days of purchase, if you’re not happy with the service and want your money back, please contact support for a refund.  We’ll, refund our proceeds from the sale, currently 70 percent.  Apple does not refund purchased apps under any circumstances.  You must agree to delete the application from all of your devices.  We only support refunds through Amazon Payments.

Do I have to pay for each of my iPhone/iPod Touch?

No.  If you sync multiple iPhones/iPod Touch to the same iTunes account you should be able to install the application on multiple devices without paying additionally for each device.  See ‘How do I link multiple devices’ for more info.

How do I link multiple devices to my account?

Sync all of your devices to iTunes and ensure that Lotto Keeper is installed and has been launched at least once (this generates your account number).  Out of your devices, choose a primary device (i.e. the device you use most frequently).  Go into the Lotto Keeper Preference Panel on the primary device and update you account information (i.e. Name, Email, Password, etc).  Take note of your account number generated by the system.  After updating your account on the primary device, you should relaunch to effect the changes.  Populate the same EXACT information (including the generated account number from the primary device) on the other devices.  Then launch Lotto Keeper on the secondary devices to effect the changes.

What is the password under my account used for?

The password in the account preference allows you to manage your account online.  You will need this password to upgrade your subscription from Basic to Plus.

How many numbers can I keep?

This is limited by the available space on the device. Ideally, old numbers without wins should be deleted to free system resources.

How many results can I keep in my history?

The system defaults to 3.  This may be increased up to 9 in the preference panel.

When does the system download the lottery information?

The system downloads the latest information a few seconds after application launch.  And, it refreshes automatically at five (5) minute interval if the application is active.  The Refresh button may be pressed to initiate a download sooner than the five minutes interval.

What happens if I am out-of-network range for an extended period of time?

Since the system downloads information immediately after launch, you will get all the results (limited by your Result History setting) since the last time you launched.

Do you actually play the numbers I enter?

No.  Lotto Keeper provides information only.  And, it is not affiliated with any lottery system.  Please note, all results are unofficial until confirmed by respective auditing firms.  All trademarks used are properties of their respective owners.

How do I delete my old numbers?

While browsing your numbers in "My Numbers", you may select the edit button.  This will bring up the standard edit menu with a red button (with a white bar in the middle) next to each row of numbers.  Selecting a red button, will display a delete button.  You may also, swipe your finger across the row you want to delete to bring the delete button.

If you want to simply delete all your numbers in one operation, you may delete them by enabling the "Delete All Numbers" option in the preference panel.  When the application starts, it will automatically delete all numbers.

How do I reset my winning or losing statistics?

Enable the "Reset Games Stats" option in the Lotto Keeper preference panel accessible from the iPhone system preference panel.  And, restart the application.

I deleted an old number but the Draws Played/Tot Spent/Tot Won remained the same.

The Draws Played, Total Spent and Total Won are running totals.  Once a drawing for a number has occurred, it cannot be altered.  If the drawing has not occurred, deleting or modifying a number will change the Draws Played and Tot Spent.

How do I increase the number of results kept by the system?

Adjust the "Results History" parameter in the Lotto Keeper preference panel.  The system will automatically download the additional results at application launch.

How do I turn off those annoying dings and sirens when I win?

In the “Alerts” section in the Settings, you may disable all sound by setting “Sound” to “Off”.  If you would like more refined control of alerts, you can set the number of days to be reminded for a win by setting the “Reminder Durations.”  To limit the number of reminders per day, you may set the “Alerts Per Day” option.

I live in a state not supported by your application.  Can you add my state?

Send your suggestions to info@lottokeeper.com

What happens if my music takes up all of the space on the system?

Lotto Keeper will give a Low Memory warning and suggest deleting old numbers and lowering the Result History.

How does the multi-draw option work?

When a number is entered with a number of draws greater then 1, the system registers the number as being played on the play date and all subsequent numbers as being played at the lottery cut-off time on each future draw date.   Lottery cut-off time varies between states even for the same lottery.

Do you take into account the draw cut off time?

Yes.  If a number play date is after the lottery draw cut off, it will be associated with the next draw.  Therefore, pay close attention to the play date time when entering numbers.

Why do you allow play dates in the past?

When a play date for a past drawing is entered, the system displays the corresponding draw date in red instead of the normal white text.  The ability to enter past play dates serves two purposes.  It allows individuals to check numbers that they had not had a chance to enter before the drawing.  And, it allow users to verify some of the functionality that only occurs when there is a win.

How do I read the Next Drawing information in the Summary header?

For example. 2° 20' 42" means the next drawing for this game is in 2 days 20 hours and 42 minutes.

What does the arrow mean in the "Current Jackpot Est"?

And up arrow means the jackpot has gone up.  A down arrow means that the jackpot was won and now is back at the basis.

Why are some balls underlined and others are not?

Since winning information is provided under both My Numbers and My Results, the underlined balls serve as a reminder that a result under My Results is being viewed, instead of a played number under My Numbers.

What about the different ball colors?

Every lottery has a set of colors for each pool of balls.  For instance, Mega Millions first pool is white and the second pool is yellow.  When a ball matches a number, regardless of the pool it is displayed in a distinctive green and yellow text.  Users can quickly browse and determine if they are a winner.  An audible/vibrate alert is given for each match.

Do you plan on supporting local state lotteries?

We plan on adding support for the local lotteries for the larger states in the very near future.

What if the application simply crashes repeatedly?

Ensure that your device and OS software meet the minimum requirements (from App Store application Requirements section) for the version of the software that you have installed.  The application software version can be checked from Applications section in iTunes (i.e. righ-click + Get Info) or the About section in the Settings for Lotto Keeper (Lite).  You may also reset the device by turning it off completely and restart.  As a last ditch effort, you can delete the application from the device and re-synch to reinstall.  If non of the suggestions work, please contact support.  In a future release, the application will ensure that the device meets the minimum requirements or give a warning.

What if I find a serious bug?

Please send support any issues that you find while using Lotto Keeper.  We will make all efforts to incorporate fixes in the next release.

Do you support the Google Android/Blackberry platform?

At the current time we do not.
